April Wilson joins us from the Great White North - yes, Canada! Raised in Toronto, April's favorite thing to do is anything on a board. Snowboarding, wakeboarding and skateboarding are her passions -and anything with speed!

Graduating with a Bachelor's Degree in Communications, April joined the WFLA News Team and produced newscasts for more than five years. April then joined the new entertainment department of WFLA, producing the Daytime show, which launched in 2001.

For nearly four years, Media has broadcast 'Daytime', a daily, live, hour-long interview show at 10 a.m. Daytime was so successful that the same team launched a similar show called The Spot in 2003, which airs at 7:30 on Saturday nights.

April started her extreme sports reporting in 2002 and has enjoyed it immensely. Since then she has become a regular correspondent on the Daytime show and The Spot.

Some of the crazy things she's been able to do include skydiving, stunt plane driving, racing, BMX, MotoX, wakeboarding, snowboarding, WWE wrestling, karate, kung fu, shark fishing, surfing, Marine Corps training, motocross ice racing, NFL training, white water rafting, skateboarding, paintballing, and much much more.

Filling in for movie guy Sam Hallenbeck, she has interviewed celebrities like Harrison Ford, Colin Ferrel, Josh Hartnett, Susan Sarandon, Nicole Kidman, Jude Law, Sienna Miller, Glenn Close, Liam Neeson, Dave Matthews, Orlando Bloom, Kirsten Dunst, Cameron Crowe, Michael Caine and many more.

April lives in the Tampa Bay area in a waterski lake community and wakeboards almost every week with her husband of 9 years, a fellow Canadian.
